For the One Who’s Feeling Like Giving Up
This is for the one who’s feeling like giving up.
You cried your last tear.
You’re not sure if you even want to be here.
You’re not sure if you matter.
You’re not sure if you’re worthy.
But my dear child,
you are.
You’ve been letting other people tell you how to feel—
how to act—
and who to be.
So much so to the point
you don’t even recognize who you are.
You’ve been trying to find you,
but you got lost in the idea of who others wanted you to be—
and your soul is crying for you to be free.
And it’s time for you to let it go.
Please understand that you’re worthy.
That you do matter.
The world deserves you.
You deserve you.
The healed version of you.
The authentic version of you.
The version of you you’re afraid to let shine
because others have dimmed your light so much
that you’re not even sure of your light anymore.
—
Scream, shout, let it out, cry.
Walk in grass, go in nature, get out of that room.
Wherever you are,
let the sun or let the air blow on you.
May it be a kiss to you from that loved one
that’s watching over you—
because they walk with you,
and they wipe your tears.
Let them hold you.
Know you’re not alone.
It may seem like you’re alone physically,
but you’re not.
All that pain you’ve been holding in—
now take it,
turn it into power,
because you got this,
and you have something special.
—
May you receive this.
May it catch you in time.
I love you.
